HDL Palette

 HDL Palette

HDL files created outside of UML2HDL can be instantiated on UML Object Diagrams as UML Objects.

The HDL Palette shows a list of HDL files that have been imported into UML2HDL.

 

To import a previously created HDL module:

 

1.

select Import from the File menu;

2.

select Import HDL Module from the Import submenu;

3.

using Open dialog specify the path to an HDL file you'd like to import and click Ok.

OR

 

1.

select Open HDL Module from the File menu;

2.

using Open dialog specify the path to an HDL file you'd like to open and click Ok.

 

To instantiate one of these HDL files as an object on a UML Object Diagram, drag and drop one of the entries from the HDL Palette to the UML Diagram panel.

 

  NOTE:

The summary for each HDL file  can be displayed as a hint by pausing the mouse cursor over any particular entry on HDL tab.
